Miguel Angel Zotto was born on the 7th of August of 1958 in Vicente López, Buenos Aires.
He proceeds from a purely “tanguera” family, with popular roots. He grew listening to tangos with his grandfather,
who was dancer, and with his father who was dancer and actor.
When he was seventeen years old, he started studying tango with different teachers.

In 1979 he discovered Rodolfo Dinzel and he intensified his studies with him. He danced in the “Milongas” of Buenos Aires from six years.
In 1984 he taught tango at the “Belgrano University” of Buenos  Aires. In 1985 he shot to fame as the lead and the tango instructor in the show “Jazmines” by Ana María Steckelman, performing at “Michelángelo”, Teatro Municipal General San Martín and on tour in Venezuela. In 1985 he met Milena Plebs and in April 1986 they began their career together as professionall tango team, performing in Segovia and Orezzoli’s Broadway hit  “Tango Argentino”  with which they stayed for more than four years traveling the United States, Canada, Venezuela, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France and Japan, where they were invited to take part in the Tokyo Music Festival ’87.
Their Tango teachers were Rodolfo Dinzel, Antonio Todaro, Pepito Avellaneda, Juan Carlos Copes, Finito, Petróleo and Virulazo and Elvira.
He performed in the films “Tango, Bayle nuestro”, by Jorge Zanada; “Flop”, by Eduardo Mignona and “Oratoria Carlos Gardel”, by Horacio Salgán y Horacio Ferrer.
In 1988 Miguel Angel Zotto, along with Milena Plebs created “Tango x 2 Company” which they directed, choreographed and performed in as principal dancers. In 1989 they presented the premier titled “Tango x 2”
In 1991, the Houston Opera Theatre invited them to choreograph the tango-opera “María de Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer, in which Miguel Angel Zotto played the role of Gatto.
Miguel Angel Zotto, along with Milena Plebs, received the “María Ruanova ’91 Award”, the highest prize in Argentine Dance, which is awarded annually by the Consejo Argentino de la Danza. This was the first occasion in which the prize was given to tango.
In 1992 they performed at the “Expo Sevilla”.

That same year they performed with Robert Duvall in National Geographic’s Explorer documentary “Tango!”.
In 1993 they presented their second production called “Perfumes de Tango” and they had a triumphant season in Sadler’s Wells Theatre (London).
First U.S. tour, in several cities: New York, Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, etc.
In 1994 Italy (Rome, Milan); Congress Palace of Nanterre (Paris); International Festival of Athens (Greece); International Dance Festival Aix-en-Provence; Moscu (Russia); Cervantino Festival ’94 in Guanajuato and Monterrey (Mexico). First tour in Japan: Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, etc.
In 1995 Arts Festival of Hong Kong; Maison de la Dance (Lyon), Albéniz Theatre (Madrid). Great success with the “Tangox2” second  tour in U.S.
That same year he took part in teaching at “International Argentine Tango Congress at Northwestern University” Illinois (U.S.).
In 1996 they presented “Perfumes de Tango” in a long summer season in Buenos Aires at the Presidente Alvear Theatre.
This year, “Tango x 2” represented Argentina in Belgium. They were invited by the European Economic Community.
Second successful tour in Japan, performing in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, etc.
In September they presented the debut of their show called “Una Noche de Tango” at Presidente Alvear Theatre. This show was initially created and performed at the Seventh Biennale de la Dance in Lyon (France). Then, they toured in Rome, London, New York and Santiago de Chile.
In 1997 he received the “Trinidad Guevara Award”, given for choreography in the show “Perfumes de Tango”.

He presented “Una Noche de Tango” in Avenida Theatre (Buenos Aires) during two months season. 
Then they performed “Perfumes de Tango” in Finland and Denmark and then they presented both shows in several cities of  the United States.
In 1998 he won the “Gino Tani Award”, the highest dance prize given in Italy. They performed “Una Noche de Tango” in Presidente Alvear Theatre of Buenos Aires. They toured in Italy, Finland, Germany, England, Greece and Israel presenting “Perfumes de Tango” and a three weeks season in Rome performing “Una Noche de Tango”.
At the end of the year, the Clarín newspaper (Argentine) declared “Una Noche de Tango” as “the best dance show of the year”.
In 1999, they took part of the “Festival Internacional de Cultura Paiz” in Guatemala. Then they performed in Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and Chile.
In this year, he won the “Possitano Award”, one of the highest dance prize given in Italy.
In January 2000 Miguel presented a new show named “Z x 2”, staged and performed, together with other Argentinean artist, Pablo Ziegler (pianist), in Sydney’s Opera House (Australia) with the accompaniment of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
In the spring of 2000, Una Noche de Tango was presented in Milan, Torino (Italy) and London (England) - a six-week run -, then the Company returned  to Lyon (France) to participate along with famous Argentine singer Jairo, in a glamorous show – a blend of Tango, Music and Folkclore – dedicated to Argentina.
In April, Miguel Angel Zotto was chosen in Argentina as one of the three best tango dancers of the century.
In May, the company presented “Perfumes de Tango” at San Pablo – Brasil – being part of the Argentinian National Festival.

In July and August they participated at “International Tango Festival” with “Una Noche de Tango” in the most important cities of Italy, France and Denmark.
From September to December Miguel Angel Zotto celebrated “Tango x 2 Company Ten Years” performing an extended season in Buenos Aires’ Presidente Alvear Theatre with “Perfumes de Tango”.
2001 The new millennium opens with the second presentation of “Z x 2”, in Sydney’s Opera House (Australia) with the accompaniment of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
From March to July, a new European tour, covering Rome, Bologna, Florence and Milan (Italy), then a four-week-long return to the Peacock Theatre in London. The tour goes on performing at: Manchester, Evian (France), Verona (Italy) and Innsbruck (Austria).
Five months season in Buenos Aires performing a new version of "Una Noche de Tango" at Astral and Metropólitan Theatres.
2002
The Company presented "Una Noche de Tango" in Hong Kong being part of the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
In June Miguel Angel Zotto participate at Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer Opera, "María de Buenos Aires" as choreographer and dancer at the Teatro Comunale of Bologna and the Theatre Alighieri of Ravenna, Italy.
In July Tango x 2 Company performed “Una Noche de Tango”in Graz, (Austria); Atenas, (Greece); Las Palmas de Gran Canarias (Spain) and Menton (France).
2003 At the beginning of March the company performed at Mar del Plata City as especial guests at the prestigious  Cine Festival of Mar del Plata.
During March and April, the Company presented “Una Noche de Tango” at Tivoli Theatre in Barcelona, Spain.
In March took part as tango instructor at “Tango Congress of Miami Beach” in Fontainebleau Hilton of Miami Beach organized by USTC Tango Fantasy.
In June, Miguel performed at “Tangofolies Festival” of Lausanne, Switzerland. Then he participated at “Festival Buenos Aires Tango” in Paris, France at Chaillot National Theatre”. The journal “Liberation” mentioned him as the “parquet Maradona”
In June Miguel Angel Zotto was named “Honorable Academic” by the “National Tango Academy” in Buenos Aires.
In July Miguel Angel Zotto organized an important Tango Classes Festival in Napoles, Italy, named “Napolitano tango” with tango, milonga and vals classes and workshops, conferences about tango history and exposure of original pictures and scores of tango.
In August they performed in Verona, Italy with a tango and folclore show “Tango y Argentina” with Jairo and Koqui and Pajarín Saavedra.
In September Miguel Angel Zotto opened his third successful show “Tangos de la Cruz del Sur”  at the Astral Theatre – Buenos Aires with 22 artists in scene, and an important new stage set and multimedia design.

2004 In February, the Company presented a new version of “Tangos de la Cruz del Sur”  show named “Tangos, Una Leyenda” in Bologna, Roma, Milan (Italy) and London (England).
In May Miguel took part again as tango instructor at “Tango Congress of Miami Beach” in Fontainebleau Hilton of Miami Beach organized by USTC Tango Fantasy.
Second time for the Tango Classes Festival in Napoles, Italy, named “Napolitano tango”.
2005  Miguel Angel Zotto formed part of the “Cumbre de Tango” in Sevilla.
Tour in Italy with the show “Perfumes de Tango”.
He gave tango workshops during two months in Spain, Italy, London and Germany.
In May Miguel took part again as tango instructor at “Tango Congress of Miami Beach” in Fontainebleau Hilton of Miami Beach organized by USTC Tango Fantasy.
He participated as main personality at the “First World Tango Festival” in Tokyo, Japan in which he gave tango workshops and exhibitions. He also performed at Tango Libertad Show and was one of the judges at the Second Tango Competition in Japan
The company toured “Tangos, Una Leyenda” in Greece (Atenas and Thesalonikis) and then in Hong Kong.

2006 - In January Tango x 2 Company opened its latest show “Su Historia” in Buenos Aires at Lola Membrives Theatre. This show traces the history of the company and features the most memorable choreographies from previous shows, together with innovative new sequences. Following a successful season in Buenos Aires, “Su Historia” began touring Europe since March until June, performing in Switzerland, Italy (Milan, Bari, Varese, Bresci, Bologna, Roma) and London.
In October presented “Su Historia” in Israel (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa).
Miguel Zotto formed part of the Italian TV Production “AMICI DI MARIA DI FILIPPI” as Tango Instructor. He taught tango to young people, showing the authenticity of Argentinian Tango.
November: second time of the “World Tango Festival” in Tokyo, Japan in which he gave tango workshops and exhibitions. He also performed at Tango Libertad Show and was one of the judges at the Second Tango Competition in Japan.
In December, Chanel Firm invited Miguel Angel Zotto and Tango x 2 Company at Tokyo, Japan, as special guest in order to appear at the Chanel Christmas Dinner Party.

2007
In January, Tango x 2 Company returned to New York performing “Su Historia” at City Center Theatre with great success.

Tango x 2 Company was nominated by the Dance Section of the Critics' Circle of the UK as a finalist for the BEST FOREIGN DANCE COMPANY category for the 2006 Critics' Circle National Dance Awards. These are currently the only professional awards on the United Kingdom devoted exclusively to dance. The ceremony took place on Thursday 25 January 2007 on the main stage at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London
In February, he took part of the “International Tango Festival of Florianopolis” in Brasil.
During March and April, the Company presented “Su Historia” at the Oude Luxor Theater of Rotterdam and the Rai Theater of Amsterdam - Holland.
In July Tango x 2 Company presented a new show called “SU HISTORIA SEGUNDA PARTE” at Teatro Fundación Astengo in Rosario, Pcia. Santa Fe, Argentina.
In September they toured Italy at Summer Festivals at several cities: Roma – Milan - Cremona – Spello - Sordevolo – Verona.
In November, the “Casa del Ballo” Cultural Association gave Miguel Angel Zotto the  "Roma per il Ballo e la Danza” Award for his very important contribution to the dance diffusion, particularly of the Argentinian Tango.
In Noviembre 2007 begins a long tour presenting “MIGUEL ANGEL ZOTTO ES BUENOS AIRES TANGO”, performing in several cities of Italy: Roma, Piacenza, Pesaro, Prato, Mantova, Brecia, Udine, Milano, Catanzaro y Lugano (Suiza).

2008, In January, Tango x 2 Company returned one more time to New York at City Center Theatre with great success and then they perform a long season at Sadlers Wells – Peacock Theatre, London.  
During April and May, Miguel Angel Zotto opened in Buenos Aires his new successful show “MIGUEL ANGEL ZOTTO ES BUENOS AIRES TANGO” at the Astral Theatre.
In April he received the “Diploma  of Honour” given by Consejo Argentino de la Danza because of his great teaching labour.
In August he performed at the 6th Mundial de Tango en Buenos Aires with the accompaniment of the Mariano Mores Orchestra.
December, tour in Italy  presenting the show in several cities: Milan, Bologna, Catanzaro, Potenza

2009 The tour goes on in Italy whis the show “Miguel Angel Zotto is Buenos Aires Tango”. From February to May he gives tango workshops in Europe.

In August he participated in different performances being part of the “Mundial de Tango” and “Festival de Tango” in Buenos Aires.
Opening in Buenos Aires of the ZOTTO TANGO SHOP, an exquisite designed store of sale of different tango products: Haute couture dresses; shoes with exclusive designs; Dvd’s with Tango lessons: Miguel Angel Zotto Method; Dvd’s Cd’s posters and pictures of Tango x 2 Company; Cd’s of different tango orchestras and sigers to dance; scores of tango, walts and milonga.
Creation of a new system of sale of tango classes on line: www.zottotango.com. Tour in Athens, Greece performing at “Athens Megaron” presenting the show “Miguel Angel Zotto is Buenos Aires Tango”.

2010 March to August he gives tango workshops and took part of different Tango Festivals at several cities: “Latinoamericando Festival” Milano; Venecia Festival; Rimini Tango Festival; Torino: First European Tango World in which the show was filmed by international and local RAI; Tango Festival in Puglia; Selva di Fasano; a whole week of classes and shows in Toronto Canada; Tango Festival in Rome and Cremona. Performance in Isola de Elba.
Miguel Zotto organised the first week of tango in Lago di Larga: seminars, conferences, shows and milongas and he puts on a show with the master Horacio Ferrer: A Tribute to Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer. He opened a tango classes school in Milan during the months of June and July on Mondays and Thursdays. In August he performed at the Buenos Aires Tango Festival closing at the Luna Park stadium with the orchestra of Leopoldo Federico.
He was member of the Jury of the World Cup Final in Buenos Aires Tango at the Luna Park Stadium. During the months of October and November he gave seminars in Rome, Milan and Verona. In December he created and rehearsaled a new show in Buenos Aires.

2011 In January Miguel Zotto presented the debut of a new show called “PURO TANGO” at Metropolitan I Theatre during the summer season in Buenos Aires.
In May the Company presented PURO TANGO performing at Ponchielli Theatre of Cremona; Grandteatro Geox of Padova; Palatenda Theatre of Brescia, Teatro Nuovo of Ferrara and finally at Teatro Nuovo of Milano, Italy.
During October and November the Company returns to Italy to perform PURO TANGO at: Teatro Olimpico, Rome; Teatro delle Palme, Napoli; Teatro Filarmonico, Verona; Teatro Rossetti, Trieste; Granteatro Geox, Padova; Teatro Verdi, Firenze; Teatro Regio, Parma; Teatro Team, Bari, T.Bergamo, Bergamo, Teatro Duse, Bologna; and then they finished the tour performing at Badmington Theatre, Athens Greece.

Tango x 2 shows: "PERFUMES DE TANGO", “UNA NOCHE DE TANGO”, “TANGOS DE LA CRUZ DEL SUR”, “SU HISTORIA”, “SU HISTORIA SEGUNDA PARTE” , “MIGUEL ANGEL ZOTTO ES BUENOS AIRES TANGO and “PURO TANGO” have brought to the stage, and thus the world, the authenticity of Argentinian Tango.
